Ann Bryan – President 2023
I have always taken photos – mainly “happy snaps” – but after following my husband around for a number of years while he took beautiful photos, I knew I was becoming really interested in photography, so I took the plunge and joined the Club
My husband bought me a better camera and away I went!
I started of course in B Grade and after several years moved up the ladder to A Grade.
I love taking photos of birds, wildlife and anything out of doors, including scapes, but I’m not so keen on studio photography.
I enjoy all that our Club offers – learning more about photography, competing in all sorts of competitions and best of all, enjoying the company of a great circle of friends!
The President’s Trophy
The President’s Trophy is awarded each year by the incumbentSunshine Coast Photography Club President, who has the onerous task of writing the Subject and the Definition each year, as well as judging entries and presenting the Trophy at the Annual Dinner.
Traditionally this is a print competition with members invited to submit a maximum of two entries.
Please consult the “Annual Awards – Subject Definitions” document for the current year for more information.
2023
THE SOUND OF MUSIC (and I don’t mean a scene from the movie!!).
Members can enter a maximum of two prints, with digital copies to be uploaded to the website as usual.
The images can be in colour or mono.
It is entirely up to you how you portray this subject – perhaps a choir performing, an orchestra, a solo performer, an instrument, whatever or however you choose – but your image must allow me to imagine I can hear the “sound of music”.
Entries for all our end of year competitions and awards close on 3rd November 2023, so you’ve got plenty of time to look out for those opportunities for images which portray the “SOUND OF MUSIC“!
