Next weekend 20 of our members will be out at Bjelke Petersen Dam, enjoying all that the area has to offer – great scenery, birds, museums, wineries, bbq’s etc. I’m sure we will all have a great time – fingers crossed for some good weather!

The following weekend – SATURDAY 8th JUNE, we will be visiting Brisbane – Southbank to be exact. We plan to meet at 10 am at the Big Ferris Wheel on Southbank (up to you if you drive into town or go on the train – there is a train at 7.38 am from Nambour, 8.06 am from Landsborough (good spot to meet for those travelling by train), gets into Central/Roma Street around 9.30 am. Suggest coffee when we meet at the Ferris Wheel at 10 am, then spend the morning roaming Southbank for perhaps Street Photography and Urban Panoramas (set subjects coming up) before we have lunch at The Charming Squire. After lunch we will visit the State Library to see the Nikon-Walkley Photojournalism 2023 and the National Photographic Portrait Prize 2023 exhibitions. Trains home leave Roma Street/Central just before 4 pm or there’s one at 5 pm. Should be a great day out so come and join us! Please email or message me if you are going to come with us – or 0411 486 939.
