A Visit From Tin Can Bay Camera Club
On the Week beginning the 6th of September, 11 members of the Tin Can Bay Camera Club will be visiting Caloundra and will be visiting us on our next competition night.
We have arranged to meet them at Shelly Beach the day before for a sunrise photo shoot, and follow up wit Breakfast at Sunny’s Cafe around the corner at Moffat Beach and it would be great if there were at least as many of us as there are of them!
The times are:-
TUESDAY 7th September
Shelly Beach meet at 5.30 am
Sunrise will be at 5.54am
The tide that morning will be a low tide only rising to 1.4 metres, it will be at 1.4m at 8.04am.

Annual Competitions and Perpetual Trophies
Perpetual Trophies and “Image of the Year” Competitions are now open for entry.
Please note that in accordance with our usual custom Image of the Year entries will be judged for each category as well as an overall image. Please note that this year you may enter ONE image from each category that you have entered during the year. Further information is available at the “ANNUAL COMPETITIONS” link on our website.
Our New Secretary
On behalf of our entire Caloundra Camera Group community, we would like to thank Airlie for her tireless efforts in her formal role of Secretary for our Club and unofficially as the person who picked up all the loose threads in our administration processes in the course of the past three years.
Airlie has resigned from her role on the committee and is hopefully enjoying a well-earned break from the many hours she has spent each week attending to Club administration.
She has left an enormous pair of shoes to fill, and it’s an indication of how broad was her role that her tasks will be spread among several people for the time being at least.
To that end we are pleased to announce that the committee has appointed Bruce Aitkinson as interim secretary to comply with our our statutory requirements for the balance of this year, with other tasks shared among various committee members.
